Morocco 6-Day Desert Grand Tour From Fez To Marrakesh

Our private tour begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains, stopping to visit Ifrane, where we will get a chance to explore the beautiful cedar forest, home of the Berber apes. We will then continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz a beautiful place to stop for pictures and some local mint tea to Midelt. We then continue to Merzouga, and where we will end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a local Riad.

This day we will explore the desert region around the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. You will have the opportunity to see the nomad’s way of life and the marvelous contrast of the desert. We will visit the village of Khamlia; where we will indulge in the music of the Gnawa. For lunch, we will delight in a traditional Berber Pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the late afternoon, we will ride on camelback to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a luxury desert camp. We will have a traditional Tagine dinner, drink delicious local mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.

We will wake up and head to a local hotel where you’ll get a chance to freshen up and enjoy a delicious breakfast before we head to Ouarzazate. On our way, well visit Berber villages home to The Todra and Dades Gorge. At the Dades Gorge, we will stop at a local hotel where we will spend the night, and a nice dinner will be served.
Dinner and overnight

After breakfast, we will continue our adventure towards Ouarzazate through the road of a thousand Kasbahs (fortress) stopping at Kalaat M’gouna, the center of the roses Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival. We will spend the night at a local hotel.

We will continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, known for being used as a filming location for famous Hollywood movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and for the famous series Game of Thrones.
We will then take the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass to Marrakech, where we will spend the night at a local Riad or hotel.

Today is Marrakesh day; a guided visit will be assured with a local guide. You will explore the city’s main attractions including the famous Jamma el Fna square, souk, Koutoubia mosque, The Royal Palace and some museums. We will explore also the new city called Gueliz, the Menara Gardens and Majorelle before ending our tour at your hotel/airport.
