From Fez to the Desert of Merzouga and Marrakech in 4 Days and 3 Nights, with camel trekking adventure.
Day 1 : Starting from Fez to Merzouga
We’ll meet you at your hotel by our English speaking driver for the departure to Merzouga, the threshold of the Moroccan Sahara.
You’ll see and enjoy the beautiful nature and the amazing views of cedar forests on the way as we stop by Ifrane city we’ll visit the Barbary Apes through another beautiful and scenic city named Midelt.
On the road to the Sahara we’ll travel through the Ziz valley and the Efous oasis which offers amazing photographic opportunities.
Arrival late afternoon for the night in Merzouga.
We recommend stopping by Zaida a region close to Midelt city for lunch.
Day 2 : Into the Sahara Desert
Erg Chebbi is a large sand-sea which effectively marks the start of the Moroccan and African Sahara. discover the dunes of this area and the colors of the rising and setting sun over these dunes are truly magical.
Enjoy a leisurely morning.
Your driver is available for you all day which gives you the opportunity to explore the surroundings of the desert areas such as the Rissani Kasbah or an exhibition of Gnawa music may be.
In the afternoon you will meet your nomad guide for your overnight camel excursion.
Your guide will take you into the desert by camel, and you ll see the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen.
When you reach your accommodation, you can relax, climb the dunes or just star gaze while your guide prepares your evening meal and sets up your campfire for you.
We recommend you to taste local food called Berber pizza (Medfouna) in Rissani for lunch.
Day 3 : From Merzouga to Rissani visiting Dades Valley and Skoura
This morning, you’ll be able to rise with the sunrise to grab some photos before hopping back onto the camels for the short ride back to the hotel.
You’ll then head through Rissani, before continuing on the road to Tinjedad for lunch.
En route to Skoura, you can choose to drive up into either the Todra Gorge or Dades Valley.
Tonight, you’ll be staying in the Skoura palm grove, known as the Valley of Kasbahs.
You will have the option to spend the night in Sekoura or in Ouarzazate.
Day 4 : Ouarzazate, Ait BenHaddou to Marrakech
Our destination today is Ouarzazate city, You’ll explore the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou ( AitBenHaddou).
Used as a backdrop for more than 20 international films, it was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road caravan, where traders brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Morocco and beyond.
Traversing the Tichka Pass of the High Atlas where The steep mountain hillsides are clustered with fortified mud dwellings housing many berber families and their livestock.
Arriving on Marrakech you will be transferred to your hotel.
